Wicked City is published, and a prequel story

April 11, 2012 by alaya 7 Comments

Wicked City, the sequel to Moonshine, is finally out (Amazon/B&N/Powells)! It seems to be trickling into Barnes and Nobles over the country right now, or you can get it online. If you like it, please pass on the word–leaving reviews is especially helpful, if you’re so inclined.

And if you’d like a more extensive taste of Zephyr and her world, I’m pleased to say that the awesome Tor.com has published my very first Zephyr Hollis short story, “The Inconstant Moon.” This is a prequel story, taking place four years before the events of Moonshine, and explains how Zephyr first came to the city and started to change her mind about the vampires she’d always killed with her daddy.

And remember, if you’d like to hear news about Zephyr (or my other books), please email me to sign up for my very low-volume mailing list.

    Just discovered you. Brilliant writing!

I’ve a lot of catching up to do; but thank you for the (free) stories to whet my reading appetite!

    Best!

I picked up Wicked City on a whim at the library, and after three pages, went and checked out Moonshine. Two days later, I am thoroughly impressed, and a little sad. The writing is engaging, smart, and inventive. But now I am out of Zephyr Hollis novels to read, and I just might cry! I loved these books! And I can’t wait to hear what happens next…

I found out about Moonshine on the ew.com website, and couldn’t wait to start Wicked City. Just finished that, loved the ending. I know that you must be really busy, but was wondering when the next book is coming out.
BTW, my husband is from the middle east, so the references to food, religion, and terms of endearment “habibti” were great. First time in a long time I didn;t have to google translate.
Again, loved the books and I really look forward to the next one. Thanks for writing them!

    Hi Sheila,

Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed Moonshine and Wicked City. As for the next (and final) book of the Zephyr series, I know I’d love to write it, but right now the timing is a bit in flux. I’ll post any news here first, and send it to my mailing list. So please sign up for that if you’d like to know as soon as you can get your hands on Zephyr’s latest story.

The link to your first Zephyr Hollis story no longer works. Is there another page where readers can find your story? (Loved both Moonshine and The Summer Prince btw).

Loved the Zephyr Hollis books! Is another book in the series in the works?
